Countdown or timer: which do I need?
A countdown runs to a date and time. A timer runs for a duration, such as 20 minutes. Use Countdown for an event; use Timer for cooking, exercise or a work session.
What happens in another time zone?
The link stores one fixed moment. Everyone counts down to that moment, wherever they are. Daylight-saving changes are considered when creating the event. One displayed day always means 24 hours, not a calendar day.
Will it work if I close the page?
The date is retained if browser storage is available. Reopening the page recalculates the remaining time. Sound cannot be guaranteed in a background tab, while the device sleeps or after the page closes. Timing uses your device clock.
Where are my events saved?
Events are saved only in this browser, without an account or cross-device sync. Clearing browser data removes them. The event name and date are included in a shared link; share it only with the people you choose.
